| Farrah Parkes is a Jamaican citizen who has spent the last 8 years in Philadelphia, where she does fundraising and development for a needle exchange program. A rabid knitter, she is also the founder of Knitters for Choice, a group of progressive knitters who sell hand-made items to raise funds for local pro-choice organizations. In fall 2005, she, her partner, their cat and her growing yarn collection will grudgingly move to New Jersey where she will attend graduate school. |
