Desiré J.M. Anastasia is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology at Wayne State University. She received a Master of Liberal Arts degree in Women's Studies from Eastern Michigan University. Her research interests include gender inequality, body modification, and domestic violence/sexual assault. Her most current research focuses on domestic violence and sexual assault programs on an urban university campus.
Paul Leighton is an Associate professor of Sociology at Eastern Michigan University who regularly teaches a classes on domestic violence and sexual assault. He is webmaster of stopviolence.com, an ongoing project in which he involves his students to create resource pages on many types of violence. He is also author or editor of two books, including Class, Race & Gender & Crime: The Social realities of Justice in America. |
